Ogden, Utah Speed Traps
20th and Washington Blvd.
The police sit in the parking lot of the Bexell Car repair shop, they look like a car just parked in the lot. I see them there every morning going to work at 7am. Monday to Friday. I have witnessed them taking off after someone. It surprised me the first time this happened as I didn’t see them, they blend in very well with the other cars parked there for repairs.
Eastbound on 21st St just west of Wall Ave.
As you head east on 21st St just before Wall Ave the speed limit drops from 55 mph to 45 mph right before the bridge that goes over the railroad tracks. OPD sits at the base of the bridge on the east side. With the 10 mph drop in speed limit and the downslope of the bridge makes it very easy to speed there. Back it down after passing the pond on the north side of the road.
Near the west end of 21st St where it connects to 1900 W
As you head west on 21st St the speed limit drops from 55 to 50 near the Flying J and then drops to 40 mph after you go under I-15. Sheriffs will park on the south side of the road near the little school there. Never a warning, always a ticket. Beware.
I-15 Between 5600 S and 12th St.
Mostly on Sunday mornings; UHP sets up speed traps on I-15 both Northbound and Southbound between 5600 S and 12th St. Be careful, they hide in the curves and it’s usually too late.
Adams Avenue from 40th st and South
Turning right on Adams Avenue from 40th Street, on the east side of the golf course, the speed limit is 25 mph. An officer sits at the Conoco gas station on the south side of the building, and down the road a little at the corner of 41st and Adams, and officers drive up and down that road all day. They WILL tag you for going 30 in a 25, so be careful!
