Sandy, Utah Speed Traps

there are several Motorcycle officers that sit on Tramway drive (approx) 1800 east and 9400 south sometimes he is in a car. have been wrecking Sandy citizens days for years!

when traveling north on 2000 east coming from 9400 south you will drive past a reams grocery store, Carls JR, as you drive further down the hill there is a park on the east side of 2000 east he sits right there where the park comes out onto main road also about 200 yards past the park on a side road he also sits there watch out.

1-2 motorcycle cops are tucked on the downward slope of a residential street on the east side of Draper Parkway before its curves and runs into 1300 East. They have together written hundreds of tickets in just one day. I travel that road and have been watching them write tickets for hours. Who knows how many tickets they’ve written on other days. The speed limit is 35 but it isn’t posted anywhere along the stretch of road they are watching. It is a long stretch. I was very surprised to learn the speed limit was only 35 mph. A definite speed trap!!

Both North and South bound. LEO’s set next to the driveway behind a power transformer shooting North bound traffic or they set across the street shooting South Bound setting in a entrance to be constructed. North Bound they start to get you once you leave the 10000 traffic light and South Bound they get you just as you crest the hill to go down to 10000. Speed limit is 40 MPH but in both Draper and Midvale the speed limit is 45.

Going westbound, just after the railroad tracks, there is a LDS Church on the North side of the road. It is a slight downward sloping hill and there are cops in the driveway of the church parking lot with radar/lidar gun ready.
