Santaquin, Utah Speed Traps

The local law enforcement positions at each end of town. My uncle is a local rancher & her warned me that my California plates would be a red flag & to strictly observe the speed limit through town. The locals flatly ignore it however. What the law does is put one guy at each end of town, parked on the side of the road, then they radio back and forth to say who’s coming. I saw the first unit when I entered Santaquin from the west, and kept under the local limit until I got to the east end, with 4 locals on my bumper. The 2nd guy was waiting, engine on, and just flat out glared at me for being under the speed limit. I didn’t even dare wave at him. My brother came through town later that day, ignored the warnings and was ticketed at 5 miles over the limit.
