As you enter city limits

Cop is almost always there where the speed changes from 65 to 40 mph. Pulls cars over all day every day.

The cop was catching people about 150′ past the speed limit sign as you enter the town on the northwest side. I got my very first speeding ticket EVER entering Wellington. The speed limit goes from 65 down to 40 and I was coast down to the slower speed.

Another down side is there is no traffic school, so no way to work the points off your record.

Ok check this out. I was in the middle of a group of cars comming into Wellington going 40 MPH and the cop singled my car out from everbody else! The cop (who obviously was a rookie), said that it just looked like my car was going faster than the other ones. Gave me a ticket for 66 MPH. This cop was just somthing else! I wont be going through Wellington anymore.

Anytime day or night if your traveling US6 through the town of Wellington City, be prepaired to slow down! Officers of Wellington Police Department will give you a citation for 1mph over the posted speed limit of 40. They have previously been talked about on Larry King Live for one of the biggest speed traps west of the Mississippi. Aircraft have also been known to patrol parts of the town for speeders. At the east end of town there is a photo radar set up facing west. Officers constantly stand along sidewalks using a Lidar (laser) radar, in better hopes of catching you. And yes my citation was issued through the use of an airplane. Be careful, and drive safe.
