State Highway VT Route 12 near Stage Road
Barnard hires the Sheriff’s Dept. to monitor speeding through the downtown area near the Elementary School and the General Store. The limit is 30mph and they will ticket folks going higher.

Windsor County Sheriff Deputy parks at bottom of hill waiting for northbound traffic on Vt. Route 12 to enter the 30 mph zone from a 50 mph zone. Sheriff loves to make a show of pulling over anyone, sometimes in an unsafe manner, i.e., blocking traveled roadways,etc. It’s a new revenue stream for the town.
