Richmond, Vermont Speed Traps
Lower Governor Peck Road
Richmond PD cruisers are often parked on ‘lower’ end of Governor Peck Road and are hard to see until you are right up on them. Don’t speed through here because you will get pulled over
exit 11 interstate 89 southbound exit ramp
sometimes the state or town police will radar folks coming down the ramp in the evening, hiding/watching from the commuter lot or almost under the bridge over us2, and watch to make sure you completely stop at the stop sign.
Interstate 89 near Exit Number 11
State trooper will sit in the median right near Exit 11 at the bottom of a hill. It is the perfect spot as it is impossible to spot the cop until you have crested the hill and have begun your descent (making it that much tougher to slow down). Officer faces NB lanes in the evening.

They sit in the fire station which is just at the sign where the speed limit goes from 40-30. They are very strict, especially at night.

State Highway 2 near Richmond Fire Department
The Richmond P.D. routinely waits in the parking lot of the Richmond Fire Department to catch folks who come around the bend on Route 2 still doing 40 and don’t manage to decelerate to 30 in time. The change from 40 to 30 is right there at the Fire Department.
