North Grove Street near McKinnley Avenue

Rutland, VermontOct 16, 20070 Comments

Usually an unmarked Sheriffs car hidden in the tall grass on McKinnley or just south parked off the road. Somtimes they sit on the farmers property a half a mile north of McKinnley. The speed limit is posted 35 if your doing forty, they’ll stop you.

State Route 7 near North Street Extension

A patrol car is frequently located at the intersection of Route 7 and North St. Extension by the Mac’s convenience store. I see cars pulled over within 1/2 mile of this intersection at least 5-6 times a week. Sometimes as much as 3 times a day. The speed limit is reasonable but you can get pulled over for minor infractions.

North Grove Street near Field Avenue

From the Rutland Country Club parking lot to the Pittsford town line there are at least 4 different spots that are frequented by the Sheriff Dept. Corner of Mckinley is perhaps the most frequent because the road is straight with few houses but the 35 mph can catch you almost anywhere in the 3 miles.

rural road, posted 35 mph but should really be 45 – 50 mph. Cop waits at blind corner for out of state motorists.
