Shelburne, Vermont Speed Traps
Shelburne Police car is at the stop sign on Dorset looking down the hill of Cheese Factory Rd towards 116. He can see about .3 of a mile before the trees block his view.
Firsat stop to the city park in the center of town
Speed reduced. Lots of houses and kids and a crosswalk. Heavily patrolled because of complaints against speeding drivers, dealerships test-driving and delivery trucks/contractors.
Marked as 40mph, traffic can get up to 55. Patrol car sometimes parks in the bus stop area on the northbound side.
Going North on Route 7, speed changes from 40 to 30 due to construction. Change occurs just past Modern Design furniture store and at Sirloin Saloon restaurant. At night, Shelburne police will follow closely to try to get you to go faster and if you are caught, they will exagerate your speed. Even if you momentarily go a bit fast, even if you were going 40, increased it for five seconds and dropped back down to 40 in the 40 zone, they will get you. You are more vulnerable if you drive an older vehicle because they think they can get you for multiple offenses.
