Bridgewater, Virginia Speed Traps

County & state cops sit on private property & run radar. There is a speed limit change with maybe 40 yards notice between signs. Some cops don’t even get out of their cars, they simply motion people to pull over. At times the cops will sit at the speed limit signs & pull drivers

There is usually a police car or motorcycle issuing tickets anywhere near where the speed drops from 55 to 45 approaching Bridgewater- either side of the road.

When entering the edge of bridgewater south bound on route 42 watch out when entering the 45 zone that turns into a 35mph school zone when the lights are flashing. when school is in there is frequently a cop sitting in the median or on the right shoulder next to the elementary school.

When coming down Dry River Road they will set up in front of Bridgewater Automotive or other end of the road at the Ethan Allan Plant.
