Northbound Rolling Road

This speed trap is located on the right-hand side of the entrance leading to the Union First Market Bank parking lot, just before you get to the traffic light. This speed trap can occur during the daytime, and also at night (with patrol car’s headlights out) .

Not sure how often the po-po is here, but radar enforcement one day on Lee Chapel at intersection of Wooded Glen Ave. (close to Old Keene Mill) (thanks to the driver going the other way for lights flashing warning!).

Unmarked and Marked police will sit with radar on side of the road afater crossing over Roberts Rd. but before Kohl’s, Safeway shopping center on right side of Burke Center Pkwy. Very random and never know what time or day of week.

Eastbound on Burke Centre Parkway before Burke Lake Road

Burke, VirginiaJun 22, 20100 Comments

Eastbound on Burke Centre Parkway approaching Burke Lake Road. The police will hide their motorcycles in the woods in front of the church on the southeast corner. They stand right in front of the wooded area with their radar guns. The speed limit is 40 and they got me for doing 52 as I was going to make a left turn onto Burke Lake Road. Only seen them there on weekday mornings. Note: the only speed limit posted anywhere on Burke Centre Parkway is 40 – never let them ticket you for speeding in a 35 there.

Guinea Road near Colony View Drive

Cops wait in the parking lot of Bowl America and get you as you are coming down hill from on Guinea heading away from Target. They’ve got me twice there. It’s unreal because you’re going downhill and the traffic is usually pushing you to move faster because two lanes are merging into one. They pull lots of cars over at a time. Two or three cops work together – one runs the radar/laser thing and the other one points at you to pull over. They don’t even use their cars!
