State Route 28 near Going west past I66and RT29, prior to McDonalds

Centreville, VirginiaMay 10, 20050 Comments

Heading West/South West on RT28 towards Manassas. After going over I66 and under RT29 immediately to the right of the overpass there are routine Police on motorcycle or in marked cars (with radar) sitting off to the right (in a lot just before the McDonalds; where you get onto Rt28 from Rt29). The corner is blind, and you can not see the police until you come under the Rt29 over pass. By then if you are exceeding the posted limit (45) by more than 8mph you will be cited. These radar traps are present two, or three times a week between the hours of 1:30 and 3:30 PM (M-F).

any time day or night there is always at least 2 unmarked cars sitting in the median. facing in both directions very easy to catch speeders East or West bound. At night they sit without lights. BE CAREFUL…………

Braddock Road

The cop is usually on his motorcycle near Centreville High School, around 2:30 pm and around dark. He is pointed East if you are going West. He hides behind the trees, this road is a straight away and so tempting to speed since the speed limit is only 45. Be Carefull!!

I-66 on hill 1/4 mile east of Rte. 28 exit

State police are in the median strip – If car is pointed east bound it’s looking for west bound traffic – AM rush hour also has unmarked cars cruising between Rtes. 29 and 7100 – Very dangerous on Friday and Saturday nights – 3-4 marked/ unmarked cars work the area looking for drunk drivers.
