East High Street, northbound, downhill between the Martha Jefferson Hospital and the Joy Food Store. The cops hope people don’t ride their brakes to maintain the 25 mph speed limit.

I-64 Westbound, approx. 7 miles east of Charlottesville

I drive from Richmond to Charlottesville frequently, and it seems like every time I get to the "Charlottesville, 7 mi." sign, there is a state trooper with someone pulled over.

Old Lynchburg Rd just south of Jefferson Park Avenue

Charlottesville, VirginiaMar 13, 20100 Comments

This is a 25mph zone and police like to sit at a variety of locations between the Fry’s Spring parking lot at the corner with JPA, and the hidden up the driveway hill just south of the first stop sign.

Rio Road Between Albemarle High School and Berkmar Dr.

Charlottesville, VirginiaJan 08, 20100 Comments

This stretch of road was 2 lane and 45 mph, it’s now a 5 lane, 35 mph and the police work this on a regular basis. Normally early in the morning they are just west of Albemarle HS in a subdivision driveway. In the afternoon just past Century Telephone building…but beware, they hide in almost every available spot.

US Highway AKA Ivy Road near Boar’s Head Inn

Charlottesville, VirginiaJun 03, 20080 Comments

In an empty parking lot across from the Boar’s Head Inn. Coming down 250 eastbound hill after the Volvo dealership, the speed limit changed from 55 mph to 45 mph… there are a lot of trees, the cops sit in an old parking lot about 1/10 mile before the Boar’s Head Inn turn off.
