Officers wait at the bottom of the hill, just before you crossover the Martin Luther King bridge into Petersburg. They are mostly there in the morning around 7:30-8:00 am. However, they have occasionally been sitting there in the afternoon.

The Colonial Heights Police sit at the bottom of the railroad overpass just East of Colonial Square Shopping Center and wait for drivers to come over the bridge exceeding 35 mph. I have seen drivers stopped at all times of the day and evening but mostly they stop drivers after dark.

Cops sit behind the bushes on Arbys lot and clock unsuspecting drivers.Also sit in median and clock drivers where the speed limit drops from 55 to 35 in approx. 500 feet

Heading from Fort Lee or Petersburg into Colonial Heights a 4 lane Road with a Meridian. The speed limit is 55 mph and drops to 35 mph as soon as you cross into CH Just over a Bridge, way before you get near a cross road or Intersection and they set up were you don’t see them until you cross over the bridge into CH. South Park Mall and other Places near this spot draws plenty of Speed Trap Revenue.
