Danville, Virginia Speed Traps
They widened this road and put in a turning lane but Reduced the Speed Limit to 45mph. Watch your speed because they got me there. Since they made the highway safer there it does not make sense that they LOWERED the speed limit.
the speed limit is 45 mph then it drops to 25 mph and as soon as it drops there is a cop with radior. they got me and ive seen him get like 7 others in two weeks so be cafeful. thats a bad speed trap
On Piney Forest Rd., between Riverside Drive and Memorial Drive, there is local enforcement. Speed limit of 30 below average limits of 35, signs are hidden — tree line recently trimmed back. No warning, no negotation, will not show you clocked speed and approches vehicle with hand on her gun. Treats law abiding citizens as criminals. Have seen ten auto’s stopped in last two months since I was ticketed for 43 in 30 (no way). I had just crossed Riverside (from a dead stop) and had not even made it to the entrance of Long John Silver’s (less than 300 yards).
From the police administration anyone doing more than 7 miles above the posted limit WILL BE charged. This is not the usual and custom practice of law enforcement nation wide.
From Cane Creek Shopping all the way to Country Boys! It use to be a 55mph zone and then they reduced it some years ago and now they use it for a speed trap! Good way for the city to collect money from a working man thats running a little late.
