Route 3, West of Andora & before Elys Ford

Fredericksburg, VirginiaNov 25, 20100 Comments

This section of Route 3 has many hidden cut throughs between the East & West lanes. County sheriffs absolutely love to tuck themselves into one of these cut throughs and nab early morning commuters between the hours of 4-7AM. This is especially true heading East as you round the last curve & straightaway before the Andora/Route 3 light. Sheriffs sit there regularly during the work week and even sit there on weekends, usually Saturday mornings. They sit in such a way that by the time you see them, they already have you nailed.

Blake Dr and Rick Court- Norris Dr and Glazebrook

Fredericksburg, VirginiaOct 02, 20101 Comments

When the evening commuters start cutting through the Maple Grove subdivision on their way to Salem Church Road, there is often a car tucked down the hill on Rick Court to make sure that all the cars stop at the 2 stop signs he can see from there.

Also, every so often on the other end of Blake, by the intersection of Norriss a Glazebrook, there is a car who will catch drivers going the wrong way on the 60 feet of Norris Drive that is a one way street.

During school start and stop times the school zone lights flash to warn drivers that the speed limit is 25mph. Sheriff deputies are often ticketing in the church parking lot across from the school or sometimes they are standing in the median with the radar gun aimed at everyone traveling northbound.
