Haymarket, Virginia Speed Traps

Northerly side of JMH, Western most entrance to the parking lot to the Haymarket Professional Building (14540 John Marshall Highway). The Town of Haymarket Police park in this driveway and rely upon the big trees on the grounds of Pace West Elementary School to disguise their cars.

Technically this is in Gainesville, but Haymarket Police don’t seem to care that they are operating outside their jurisdiction, or that they are creating a traffic danger for those who would need to turn into, or out of, the Haymarket Professional Building.

Haymarket Police have radar almost on a daily basis.

As you cross over the bridge over 66 on Old Carolina (going roughly north to south), there is usually an unmarked cruiser sitting on the left side of the road, in the old Post Office parking lot or the one for the bulding just to the south. The speed limit is 25 on Old Carolina for good reason– it’s only 1.5 lanes, no shoulder, daycare center, etc.
