Herndon, Virginia Speed Traps

An officer parks on the corner of Cassia and Weihle, on the north side of the street facing west-bound traffic. This is at the top of a hill and the first intersection after passing the Fairfax County Parky. Weihle goes from 45 mph to 35 mph after the Reston Parkway after very subtle and quiet notice but this is a bit down the road so it probably shouldn’t be considered an incideous speed trap. Just be careful when the light at Weihle and the Fairfax County Parkway goes green for West-bound Weihle traffic and make sure you do not accelerate too rapidly. Speeds up to 49 should be okay; 50 and above will get you a ticket; 55 and above will get you a class 1 Misdemeanor!

The car sits on the West side of Fox Mill Rd. waiting for speeders, but seems more for people going though the light on a yellow or red.It’s the same cop every time. From a fellow FCPD I heard that this guy loves this corner.

When driving on Fairfax County Rd.(7100)Between Fox Mill Rd. and West Ox Rd. there is a water tower(and small old brick building), They sit in the empty spot after the trees. You can’t see them due to the trees until it’s way too late.. I saw them on a Saturday morning.

On Saturday mornings, I would see a police officer stand there to catch people driving on Fox Mill road going towards 7100.
