Cops hide in Symmantec Corporate parking lot behind trees next to dumpsters facing eastbound Worldgate Drive traffic just around corner from Worldgate Plaza. Also, during random times, they will stand on the west boundlane with lasers pointing hardened speed criminals to pull over for their town donation.

On Herndon Parkway after crossing Elden Street going east towards Reston anywhere between Elden Street and Van Buren street. The speed limit starts out as 35 mph and then drops to 25 mph. Herndon police sit on the right hand side of the road on the neighborhood access roads hidden by the trees. Police presence is fairly frequent and seems to centered around morning and evening rush hour as well as lunch time.

Going eastbound on Herndon Parkway coming from RT. 606 / Old Ox Road towards Elden Street. Herndon Police tend to sit at the intersection of Springtide Place and Herndon Parkway under a large tree and catch people coming off of the bend at Summerfield Drive. It is most often motorcycle cops with handheld laser pointed at the exit of that bend.
This happens relatively frequently, probably averaging 2-3 times a month and often will run for multiple days in a row. They typically focus on morning rush hour, evening rush hour and lunch time but will sit there throughout the day. Speed limit is 35 mph and traffic typically moves at 45mph.
