Toll Road 287 towards IAD from Leesburg between exits 6-8

Leesburg, VirginiaAug 14, 20120 Comments

Blue Truck speeding, hitting high beams, speeding and tailgating me. Try to move he moves around speeding past. seconds later, a dark colored Acura does the same thing, opening happens they move around. See a cop car coming the other direction on the 287 abut 1/4 mile down, does a u turn on 287, thinking he was going after one of the two cars, he hits his lights as he turns on to 287 same direction I was going. I look for the other two cars, truck gets off toll exit 7, Cop coming up I see him, I move to next lane he moves behind me I move back to the lane I was in thinking he needed to go around me, and pulls me over. How is it, that if I am going with the speed of traffic and these other two cars are racing past me, I get pulled over?

Riverside Parkway near Potomac Station Dr

Radar car sits in the middle of the hashed area as you come down the hill (limit 25mph) catching Eastbound drivers speeding or speeding up prematurely

near intersection of River Creek Pkwy and Riverside Pkwy

Leesburg, VirginiaMar 14, 20110 Comments

The police hide in a grove of trees (it’s right after you exit Leesburg proper near where Potomac Station Dr. intersects Riverside Pkwy). The speed limit goes from 35 (reasonable) to 25, then back to 35 at some point. The 25 limit is unreasonable–the road has four lanes with a median. Cars are regularly going 30. Be very, very careful.
