Leesburg, Virginia Speed Traps
near intersection of River Creek Pkwy and Riverside Pkwy
The police hide in a grove of trees (it’s right after you exit Leesburg proper near where Potomac Station Dr. intersects Riverside Pkwy). The speed limit goes from 35 (reasonable) to 25, then back to 35 at some point. The 25 limit is unreasonable–the road has four lanes with a median. Cars are regularly going 30. Be very, very careful.
Fort Evans Road- between RiverCreek Pkwy & 15
25 mph limit caught many drivers for years. Officers laying in wait anywhere along this route. Recent increase to 35mph closer to the new extension of Battlefield Pkwy, however still a hazardous trap for drivers
Battlefield Parkway and 267 Dulles Greenway
He is usually on Battlefield Parkway where it meets the 267 pointing the speed laser toward Sycolin Road. As you drive west and come around the corner, be sure to stay at 35 mph, or else he will ticket you.
Potomac Station Drive
In between Battlefield Parkway and River Creek Parkway. State cop sits at the bottom of the hill on Saddleback Place and dings you. Also, damn near every time I drive on Potomac Station road either a Leesburg or Loudoun Co passes me on the opposite side of the road. They love to run radar that way.
