Mclean, Virginia Speed Traps
A cop sits in the parking lot of Haycock Elementary School some nights. Haycock Road is a 25 mile per hour zone, but it should be at least 35, and its very easy to go 40 without even noticing it when it’s late at night and the road is clear.
Going towards McLean, just after you cross under the 495 bridge, a cop sits on the right shoulder and clocks you. He will use Lidar, which can clock you from a long way away (I was at least 200 yards behind him when he clocked me). You’ll think you’re in the clear at first, because you can see him from a long way away, but by the time you see him you are already within range.
they’re chillin right at the booz allen parking lot entrance with their motorcylces usually between 11am-5pm. I would say I’ve seen them 5 times a year, across the street from the subway.
Radar trap at the entrance to the Park Police HQ on the GW Parkway, NORTHBOUND (this is right before Turkey Run Park).
On Lewinsville Rd, as you are coming from Rt 123 toward springhill community center, as the road dips and goes downhill, there is often a Ffx cty cop waiting in the dark off to the right.
