Hunting Hills Drive

Police like to sit at the end of Hunting Hills Drive by the little building closest to Starkey Road. I have seen 6 cars alone pulled over in that area in one week. The speed limit is 25 miles per hour.

Avenham Avenue–anywhere along it

The speed limit on Avenham is 25, and with the hills and downward slope of this street it is easy to find yourself going 30-40. But don’t! It is frequently patroled and as you will see as you drive it, the street that many wealthy Roanokers live on. They expect good patroling, and they get it!

Hwy 220 S near Blue Ridge Parkway

Roanoke, VirginiaDec 16, 20091 Comments

Police officers sit in the grassy area at the Blue Ridge on/off ramp and southbound 220. They can’t be seen until you are right on top of them. The Clearbrook area starts there and has a 45 MPH limit continuing southbound for a while. If you go under 60 MPH, you should be okay.
