I’ve seen a cop parked there at least once a week. Since the road is closed and usually flooded during high tide, nobody uses it EXCEPT the cops! It’s way too easy to go over the 25 mph limit because if you’re coming from town, you’re coming downhill…
North Churh St, Route 10 business Road near Smithfield Foods Packing Plants
When shift changes occur at the packing plants there is a lot of foot traffic. People at packing plants have a tendency to walk in front of cars and expect the cars to slam on brakes. A little common sense would go along way.
Route 10 Bypass near Church Street
From Benns Church direction, Rt. 10 Splits and the bypass often has police on the left shoulder waiting for cars to speed up to the 55mph early. There is no safety reason one side of the road is 55 and the other 45…but the police give tickets regardless.
State Route 11963 near State Route 258
Va Rt 10/32 between Chuckatuck and Benn’s Church the state police are often hidden in the wide median strip. My son was ticketed there. It is a four lane divided highway and posted 55 mph and they seem to ticket over 60 mph. From a safety aspect 70 would not be an unreasonable speed
