East and West bound on Highway 18 from the Maple Valley Highway (169) exit to SE 312th St. The troppers site on Motorcycles just over a hill so when you see them it’s to late. Also on east bound the sit on the SE 312th on-ramp and radar/laser behind them. You can’t see them at all if you are east bound. On any given day I see between 3-5 troopers in cars or on bikes.

As you head up the hill just off Hwy 167 on NW 15th Street, half way up on the right hand side is a private drive that is somewhat obscured. Local motorcycle units can be seen there several times each week.

Green Valley Road

Auburn, WashingtonMay 30, 20040 Comments

When heading down the Green Valley Road eastbound(Between Auburn and Black Diamond) you will encounter a long straightaway followed by curving roads for many miles. Just after the first curve motorcycle patrols will sit in a driveway and catch you with radar just as the speed limit decreases to 35. It is a sparatic radaring sight and they tend to catch you off guard.

Hwy 167

Cops usually hide out under overpass with all lights off, or in the median late at night. Usually there are two cops monitoring south and northbound traffic, sometimes WSP will be on the other side and radar oncomming traffic. Used "instant on" radar, because my detector was going crazy from cars ahead of me getting clocked.
