Bellevue, Washington Speed Traps
156th SE just south of 16th SE
coming down the hill on 156th, Bellevue motorcycle cops hide behind hedge and pull over cars exceeding 30 mph
Main Street
On Main Street between 140th & 148th Ave NE., close to Sammamish High School. The road angles down from both directions with a posted speed limit of 25mph. There is also a crosswalk nearby.
116th Ave NE & NE 4th St
Seen motorcycle cops on numerous occasions, especially on sunny days sitting in the parking lot across from the Ford dealership nailing people on 116th going N and S.
SE 16th Street near SE 160th Avenue
For a long time there has been a radar display on eastbound SE 16th as it turns into SE Phantom way, in between 160th and 164th ave. Near as I can tell it has always just been a "you are going this fast" display, but the other day I came around the corner a little too fast (around 31 in a 25) and saw a flash as I passed the display. Haven’t received a ticket yet so I don’t know if this is just a scare tactic or not, but be careful. The city of Bellevue decided to start implementing red light photo enforcement in the fall of ’07, and this may be part of that.

NE 8th Street near 164th Street
NE 8th St going towards Lake Sammamish Parkway. Big down hill, and really bad blind hills up hill. Cops will sit in any of the little side streets between 164th and Northup Way. Got nailed there about a year ago, see them there all the time. Apparently people complain about speeders on that road because its a school bus route for little kids.
