Bellevue, Washington Speed Traps
Main Street near 142nd Avenue
The speed trap is located near Main St. and 142nd NE approximately 100 feet West from a crosswalk on Main St. near Sammamish High School. Police cars will hide in a driveway for a condo complex, while motorcycle officers will hide on the trail that leads to the crosswalk. The crosswalk is used to justify additional fines against motorists who are in excess of the 25MPH speed limit.

112th Avenue near Hidden Valley Sports Park
Almost daily there is at least one patrol car/motorcycle sitting in the driveway of the park. They will sit there, at times as many as 4 patrol cars, and stop people for going over the posted 30 mph speed limit. And they will stop you for going less than 5 mph over the speed limit.
State Highway 520 near 148th Avenue
Cop sits out of site under the 148th Avenue NE overpass on the opposite side of the jersey barrier. My radar detector did not even signal. I think he used some sort of markings to time my speed. I got nailed for just a measly 5 MPH over the limit. (65 in a 60 zone – $93.00)
Forest Drive near Coal Creek Parkway
On Forest Drive headed North (downhill), particularly north of 60th Ave SE to bottom of hill traffic light at Coal Creek Parkway. Posted speed limit of 30mph requires braking or downshifting to maintain. 35mph OK, but no higher. Always lots of "customers" for Bellevue Police Dept. particularly mid-day when traffic is relatively light.
