They hide in unmarked black trucks. Stop you for made up violations or so obscure no one has ever heard of them.
State Route 150 (Manson Hwy) just east of Lakeshore Park
Long upslope as you leave town eastward with 35mph limit, it is Easy to accidentally speed as you go up this hill and also inviting to accelerate too soon before the transition from 25 to 35mph. It is closely watched almost anytime but especially late Fri/Sat nights. Now and then the constabulary will converge on that zone. It’s not unusual to see 1 or 2 cars pulled over and still more cops cruising along that stretch.
State Highway 97 A near Just east of the Best Western Inn, west of Chelan
Called a duck shoot by local deputies, this site is clearly posted so be careful. The limit drops from 50 MPH to 35 while heading East into Lakeside on Hwy 97A.
Highway 97A through city
This is a tourist town of aproximate 1500 population with patrols by city police and county sheriff deputies. in the off season and after business hours the local (city) police have a sleepy time low traffic volume so to entertain themselves they continually follow traffic from one end of town to the other then reverse direction and follow the next car to the other end of town, if you are out there early of late and see another vehicle rest assured that it will be a police officer following you
