Stone Drive near 21st Avenue

Gig Harbor, WashingtonApr 29, 20080 Comments

Driving east bound on Stone Drive, as you pass the airport on your right the road decends and bends slightly leFort There frequently will be a cruiser on the left side of Stone Drive at the base of the hill. He’s shooting up the hill and you never see him until it’s too late. I suspect that he could catch west bound traffic as well. The limit here is 35 but most folks are already doing 40 before they start down the hill. I imagine that the residents of the little development on the left complain about the speeds of the cars coming down Stone Dr.

Very often set during the end of each month for quota. Motorcycle cop at the confluence of N. Harborview, Vernhardsen, and 97th Street. Radar aimed eastbound down Vernhardsen/97th toward Crescent Creek Park. Catches folks traveling down the hill on 97th toward the park. Speed limit is posted 25MPH … going 30 will earn a ticket!

Rosedale NW Street near Stinson to Gig Harbor High School

Gig Harbor, WashingtonSep 08, 20070 Comments

Quite regular enforcement day and night, some unmarked cars as well as motorcycle occasionally, with radar gun. Watch for a Full Stop at Stop signs as well as speeding. Have noted quite a few vehicles stopped over past few months by City Police. This is not the only location. Speed limits in Gig Harbor are strictly enforced.
