Kalama, Washington Speed Traps

City police travel up and down Meeker Dr. And will pass you going opposite direction. Where the speed limit turns from 35 to 25 very quickly and they will pass you, turn around and pull you over. A huge fine every time. They give out no warnings, just tickets. Slowly killing our small city economy. People get to the point that they avoid our small city.there are multiple stops made daily.

Various State Patrol cars like to sit in the median at the end of the cement barricade and use radar on passing vehicles going in either direction. From a distance you almost miss them, because they blend into the median, but on dry days or nights, they like to sit there and clock traffic as it goes by. I’ve even seen a patrolman stand at the side of the highway and point people over to the side of the road. He pulled 2 cars over simultaneously this way. It freaked me out, and I knew he was there!

This location is one where they sit on the overpass and get you going north or south. I was tagged going 80 in the 70mph. From this point heading north I wouldn’t go above 75 until two or three exits past Kelso. They get pretty thick in there.
