Lynnwood, Washington Speed Traps

Sat in Lynnwood City Court for a traffic ticket one morning, and saw approximately 25 tickets issued on one day on this street.

This is the area of Alderwood Mall Pkwy just as you descend doen the hill westbound towards 44th Ave West (Dania Furniture). The motorcycle cop usually sits in an empty driveway and clocks you if you do not slow down from 35 to 30 (going downhill). The driveway is located by Dania furniture just east of WaMu and 40th Ave W. They named the espresso stand which sites at the bottom of the hill "Speedtrap Espresso".

This is the main intersection of Alderwood Mall Pkwy (@00th St SW) and 44th Avenue one block north of I-5. I have seen up to 8 motorcycle cops in the little nook on the SW corner (Chevron station) wiating for folks who run the red light lights (which is an ongoing problem). This intersection is also photo enforced.

Travelling eastbound on 164th as it turns downhill onto 44th Ave. Motorcycles are hiding on the left (opposite) side of the street. Fairly steep downhill and impossible to stay within the 30 mph limit unless you are riding your brakes.

There is almost always a patrolman checking for speeders and cheaters, don’t ever try to use this exit unless you have 2 or more people in your car.
