Many stops for reasonable (but over posted) speeds, and the fact that the police are so active seems to accentuate the "gawk factor", which seems to have contributed to many accidents. Police stops: some accidents, no police; no accidents, is how I’ve observed this particular section of highway.

Southbound at the curve in the road near the bridge, a State Trooper parks in a turnout on the right near bottom of the hill. Posted limit is 60, a bit low given the rural nature of this area. I suspect laser was used, as my Bell 985 didn’t sound off for K or Ka. If you’re like me, you’ll spot him just as he’s rolling up his window to pursue you. There is a convenient offramp ~1/2 mile away.
