Fort Nugent Road near Boone Road
Entering Oak Harbor heading North on Fort Nugent just past Boone road the speed limit drops from 50 MPH to 35 MPH and they patrol this for approx a mile and a half into Oak Harbor. Coming out of Oak Harbor South(same stretch of road) there is about a half mile going down hill and it appears you are out of the 35 MPH speed limit as it is wide open roadway. The County Sheriff, Oak Harbor Police, and State troopers all sit here and rake in the cash.

Dike/Jones Road near State Route 20
This is located in oak harbor off of sta 20(turn right if you are going northbound on frostad then the next left) Dike road has a small gravel lot that I have seen two cops at routinely. they dont always have their radar on, but they use instant on 90% of the time. Even if you are not speeding. There didn’t used to be any there, but now that there have been complaints about drivers frequenting these fun, twisty roads they are there relatively frequently. It is not even worth speeding there anymore. They drive dark green crown vics.

State Route 20 near Deception Pass
South of Deception Pass to North of Ault Field Road (Turnoff for Naval Air Station Whidbey Island is about an 11 mile stretch of Highway 20 that has a noticeable Washington State Patrol presence. They are operating with one radar and up to three chase cars alternating north and south bound. In addition local PD and Island County SO utilize their dash mounted radar. Whidbey Island and Oak Harbor are getting strict due to increased fatalities on their two lane highways, especially State Route 20.
