He sits right behind a tree and usually some parked cars so you don’t see him until the last minute. The speed limit is 25 and he told me that they "have been having a lot of trouble with speeding here lately" He gave me a ticket for 8 over. Usually everyone cruises along here at 30 and it seems to be plenty safe. In fact yesterday I was in between about 4 vehicles all going 30 and he pointed his radar at us but didn’t pull anyone over. I have seen the County sheriff’s go 30 here on a regular basis on there way to the courthouse.

As you leave Port Orchard going towards Gorst, after the Tremont on ramp, there have been several times that I’ve seen dark colored state trooper cruisers parked well away from the highway and any street light, almost in the bushes, after dark waiting to trap drivers as the speed goes from 60 to 50. One night, I drove past 3 of them lined up without any lights on in the bushes… I thought that was called entrapment. Be careful late night drivers!

Driving north or south on highway-16 there are many overpasses the cops can hide behind. And also gravel/paved spaces in the medians with bushes around them so they cant be seen. But you should also be aware of cops pulled over on the side of the road with only there brake lights on. But going towards Purdy is where they got me, right under the exit sign going north.
