SR 167 and SR 410 Exchange Eastbound

Puyallup, WashingtonAug 06, 20101 Comments

SR 167 is 60 MPH. Off ramp to SR 410 slows you to 45 MPH and then you naturally take it back to 60 MPH. The first speed limit sign is one mile east of the entry to SR 410, past the railroad overpass. The police sit just at the overpass and ticket for going 60 MPH in a 55 MPH zone (when you can only then start to read the posted speed limit sign, if not blocked by traffic).

They sit in a hidden driveway at the bottom of the hill just before the light at 10th St E. Just after you pass the College, you will crest the hill and they are sitting at the bottom, waiting with radar guns. As you pull up to them, they walk out into the street and flag you down. I was ticketed there, they had about 5 other cars pulled over as well. Don’t speed anywhere on 39th!

between 132nd and south hill mall

2 to 4 motorcycle cops sit on either side of 161 ( Meridian) about a half a mile apart and run radar especially when it’s nice out. So watch your speed in between the south hill mall and 132nd

5th St between 4th Ave and Main Ave.

It looks like they are erecting photo enforcement. It has been a speed trap for a long time through a school zone. You should drive 20MPH or less through school zones but 7:00AM to 4:00 PM every day of the year is a bit much RADAR has been used here for a long time and the hours were changed a couple of years ago to make more money.
