All of 104th near RHS/Horace Mann/RJH

Obviously, since there are schools in the area, there’s a legitimate need to drive with care. That said, cops sitting across from the high school with their lights off at 11 pm are definitely out to catch people whizzing east down the hill on 104th to Avondale. Likewise, they also like to sit at the bottom of the other side of the hill, west of the junior high near where the Power Trail intersects 104th and catch people coasting past RJH and/or failing to stop if someone’s trying to cross on the trail (we got pulled over a couple of years ago because someone’s *dog* was technically "in" the crosswalk when we drove through).

Northbound Willows Rd x NE 90th St + 2 minutes north

Redmond, WashingtonAug 18, 20130 Comments

Motorcycle with laser at the "one tree plaza", which is the only tree on the right hand side of the Willows Road when travelling northbound from Redmond Town Center towards Woodinville. Landmark is Willows Run Golf court on right hand and Willow Creek offices on left side. The Willows Rd is a 1.3 mile straight line interrupted only by traffic light at 116th and 124th. Observed weekday 1 pm parked under the shadow of that tree. Looks like a motorcycle dude taking a break at the curbside. Southbound drivers will pass Quadrant Willows offices and the traffic light at 116th before the spot.

NE 95th Street

This is 25mph and people speed up to 40 and 50mph trying to get a jump on the Novelty Hill traffic. I’ve seen at least 5 cars pulled over by both cruiser and motorcycle cops. Go the 25mph speed limit! Bikes, kids and elderly retirement community on this road.

NE 1116th by Einstein School

Redmond, WashingtonMay 05, 20110 Comments

Camera trap set up to catch people over 35mph during non-school hours and 20 mph during school hours when the signs are lit. Has caused people in town to propose initiative and referendum to remove it.

It is a speed trap, it’s on a steep downhill. It is, however, also a true, honest safety issue. So slow down.
