Seatac, Washington Speed Traps
42nd Avenue near 182nd Street
This is a school zone between Bowe Lake Elementary School and Chinook Middle School. It’s 20mph and they strictly enfore it (as they should)…but until this year they only had 1 sign facing South on 42nd Ave stating it was a school zone. We got a ticket there for going 25mph through there. We took pics of the street and the signage and took it to court. Of course we lost as the judge "saw a sign" that was half covered by a hanging tree. Since then, they have put in another sign facing North also. Bottom line: I’ve seen the city of Sea-tac making a killing on this street! BEWARE! and slow down!
