Silverdale Way near Newberry Hill Road

From Chico Way to Byron, the speed limit was recently changed from 40 to 30 due to a rash of rearend collisions due to inattentive drivers. To eliminate the threat of accidents, the speed limit has been reduced drastically. On several occations I have seen WSP Motorcycle Officers patroling or parked and using radar to clock motorist northbound on Silverdale Way. This patroling usually ends once you have passed Byron even though the speed limit remains 30 MPH. Beware… the motorcycle officers blend in very well.

Heading toward East Bremerton at the bottom of the hill approaching Central Valley Rd the police sit waiting for people to not brake going down the hill. The speed limit is 35 mph but it is easy to get to 45+ mph going down the hill if not careful.

Mororcycle cops parked side by side in the cross walk. its a posted school zone yet they will pull you over when no children are present. The regular speed is 35mph they fined me 177$ for going 30 in a 20 because of the school zone, as stated no children where present at 1525. side notes… the crosswalk attendants where already gone and the cops where taking up more than half of the only crosswalk. Also they have to put the radar gun away before you actually enter the school zone so they can turn around to get you.

Enforced about once or twice a month ever since they changed the speed limit from 35 to 30 mph. They catch people as they come down the hill right after the speed limit change.
