Lieser Road approaching SR-14

Vancouver, WashingtonApr 10, 20101 Comments

The speed limit is 25 MPH on Lieser Road, but on the downhill approach to SR-14 you have to keep your foot on the brake to maintain that speed. Motorcycle cops equipped with radar/laser guns regularly set up shop just out of sight on the side street at the bottom of this hill, right before the traffic signal.

Cops park on Idaho St. and point a speed gun down Andresen Rd. All you see is a guy standing there at the corner until it’s too late. They write a Lot of tickets. The speed limit is 35 mph.

SR 500 between 4th Plain Blvd & Andresen

Over the past month I have seen state patrol cars (either sitting with a radar gun pointed at traffic or with someone pulled over) on both sides of the freeway. At least three per week. Usually it’s between 8:00a-10:00a weekdays.

Road is marked 25 mph, but traffic moves much faster. Have seen tons of tickets issued here. Police are here all the time!

SE Lewis & Clark Hwy & Exit 4

State Patrol car sits there on the on ramp and pulls you out of traffic indiscriminately. He said I was doing 73 in a 60 when I was doing 61 with the other traffic and a truck was passing me! He flat out lied. Watch out!
