I-5 Southbound and 134th Street

Speed limit drops from 70MPH to 60MPH and they commonly use unmarked police cars or SUVs. I was with a friend who received a written warning for doing 75 in a 60MPH zone (first offense).

I-205 N, Glenn Jackson Bridge

WSP or Vancouver will send *BICYCLE COPS* down onto the center median (bicycle lane between jersey barriers) of the bridge with portable radar/lidar to clock people at the state line, and then radio plate #’s and speeds back to the troopers waiting by the route 14 exit, where they’re also radaring/lasering. They tend to target Oregon residents.

The trooper sits completely obscured until about 20 feet away in a small clearing in the shrubbery on the median.

There is a small utility access area on the north side of the road right after a blind curve. Cops camp out there quite a bit. I got nailed for 62 in a 40.

SR500 from Andresen Road to SR503 (117th ave)

Vancouver, WashingtonJul 27, 20020 Comments

State Cops will sit between Andresen Road out to I-205 all through the construction zone where SR500 crosses Thurston way. Be careful the speedlimit at one point drops to 25 mph. I’ve seen an average of about 6 WSP cars marked and unmarked at one time. They aren’t all using radar as evidenced by one officer who just decided to write whatever he felt like on my ticket and said he got a "pace" on me.
