Elkins police primarily uses K and Ka bands. Police in either blue Dodge Durangos or Jeep Cherokees will travel to and from Beverly (next city south of Elkins). Beware that shortly past the 84 Lumber the speed increases from 45 to 55. So, going north is the speed trap.
