Charleston, West Virginia Speed Traps

Extreme speed trap just out to get you at all costs! Watch Out for Charleston City police!

On Corridor G when the speed drops to 50 going toward city limits, Extreme speed trap!! They will get you everytime.
Does not matter if several people are all going at the same speed.

Speed limit is 25 hard to do. There their in the am and early pm. I followed an Airport police up the road doing 40mph. Can I stop them?

I see a Kanawha Deputy Sheriff sitting at Daniel Boone Park (along with the occasional Charleston City Police unit) and on the Moose Lodge parking lot on a regular basis. You are preparing to get onto the interstate so you are speeding up..and that is all it takes. You can’t see them until you are right up on them due to trees and such. As anyone from here knows…that stretch of Kanawha Boulevard is long and straight…and the speed limit is low for how it is layed out.

At the Montrose Drive-Interstate 64 Eastbound entrance ramp there is often a South Charleston Police Car sitting at the end of the ramp just on the other side of the overpass. They are usually there during A.M. and P.M. rush hours. They will get you going east on 64 every time because you don’t see them till you’re through the overpass.
