Interstate 77 South near Close to the Westmoreland Drive exit 102

Charleston, West VirginiaDec 06, 20070 Comments

Officers sit on both sides of the interstate and wait for you to come over the little knoll, and by the time you see them it is too late. They are set up there to where if they are on one side they can easily exit south bound and go north bound if need be to issue a ticket. I have not received a ticket but it is probably just a matter of time.

Going downhill you naturally pick up speed in this area. There are officers watching at the Citgo, or in the residential area on the opposite side of the road. They usually catch you right before the merge onto Interstate 64.

Interstate 64 Eastbound near Greenbrier Street

Charleston, West VirginiaNov 08, 20070 Comments

CPD sits on Greenbrier St. directly over Interstate 64 using radar, laser etc. clocking motorists and then radio ahead to pull speeders over. Most unaware motoroists and or out of state drivers do not obviously see the CPD due to the fencing facing the highway from Greenbrier St.
