On the Lumberport side of Haywood Bridge

Lumberport, West VirginiaMay 24, 20110 Comments

If traveling from Haywood to Lumberport, there is a road on the right as soon as you cross Haywood Bridge where a cop sits. The police car can’t be seen by motorists. The speed limit is 25 mph…. tickets roll in for 26 mph

State Route 20 near Storage buildings across from the gas station

The cop generally is sitting at the storage buildings at the bottom of the hill. This isn’t usually a problem for people traveling out of Lumberport, as you would be going up hill. But for the people coming into Lumberport, as you round the sharp turn at the top of the hill and start down, you really don’t see him until you’re about midways down. So just letting everyone know to watch it through there…they seem to sit there a lot.
