Morgantown, West Virginia Speed Traps
Chaplin church
Chaplin Road near Morgantown has a road that is 45 then turns into 25 in front of the Chaplin Church/CVB visitor center for about 50 feet then back to 45. The police hide in parked cars and will pull you over for going 29 in a 25, 200$ ticket for me.
Evansdale Drive
The speed limit goes up and down on this road between 15-25MPH in less than 100 yard stretches. The university police (really just security guards but police through bad legislation) allow buses and their own vehicles to go near 50MPH on the road but will bust passenger cars for going 5 over. BEWARE, they can be unprofessional once you are stopped. Locals call the university Fast Buck U.
Granville, WV
This small "town" has at least 6 or maybe more police cars and they are out everyday with radar in a variety of locations. Many times you pass one and 300 feet further there is another. Speed limit is 25 mph and if your doing 28, good luck you’ll need it.
I-79 north, between Star City and the PA line
State troopers sit on the berm of the southbound lanes just past the WV Welcome Center in a small blind spot. Troopers also sit in the median just before the welcome center, catching both north and southbound traffic. Speed limit is 70 but they will give you a couple mph over.
Interstate 68 near Exit Number 4
Going East on I-68 towards Cumberland MD, just before exit 4 (Sabarton exit) A state trooper sits in a blind hump, there is no time to slow down. But on a good note the trooper normal wont stop you if you going 5 even 10 mphs over the speed limit.
