Moundsville, West Virginia Speed Traps

Traveling anywhere on First Street between Jefferson Avenue and Pine Street. The Moundsville Police move to different locations on the street but some of their favorite sites to sit are Whipkey’s Plumbing, the parking lot of the SnoBiz, or off on one of the side streets that intersects with First. The speed limit is 25 mph.

As you are entering West Virginia a Moundsville city officer sits on other side of bridge (4 lane highway) and stops people with Ohio plates. Speed limit & City limit signs are not displayed till after area where you are clocked.
