A new high school was just completed and opened immediately south of the state prison at St. Marys. State Route 2 runs by both of these facilities and was previously a 55 MPH zone. Once the new school opened, the speed zone has been reduced to a 45 MPH zone starting at the prison. Cops have started sitting at the prison catching people speeding.
