Heading into Beaver Dam from the east the speed drops down to 25 before you even get into the underpass of 151. And if you are driving out of town the speed is 25 even though it is a 4 lane road.

They will sit on the side of the road and get you as you come over the hill going west. Speed limit is 35 well out into the country. Mostly late at night

They park one car on the overpass and park a couple more on County G just north oh the bridge just out of sight. They can get you going North or South on 151. They can even get you coming into Town because the speed dops from 55 to 45 as soon as you round the corner before 151.

State Highway 151 near Spring Street Overpass Bypass

State and Counties like to sit atop this overpass and radio ahead to their buddy who’s usually parked in the median or shoulder. They usually nab the north bound traffic coming from the Madison/Columbus area. This is a really nicely paved highway so people tend to fly along at 80 or 85 sometimes. The posted limit is 65. Thats when they nab you, its really only safe to drive 75 MPH tops. If however you are traveling south and have already passed Columbus its usually safe to fly along, as I have never seen a trap between Columbus and Madison.

North Spring Street near Parking Lot

The city police will be sitting in the parking lot of the Green Giant plant right off to the side of the road. They usually go for the southbound traffic as they are headed downhill that way. They’re hard to see because they position their squad right behind a chain link fence. They’ll see you before you see them. The posted limit is 25, they are pretty lenient though. Sometimes they do not write tickets out til 14 or 15 or so over. But be on the safe side, keep it at about 30.
