25 posted in an area that would normally be 35. All manner of Vilas County Sheriff, Eagle River City Police, and State Patrol lurk in Eagle River and stop cars endlessly. At night they hide all over in the lots and alleys. Driving at night in Eagle River is essentially illegal. At the very least the odds are high you will be followed from the city limits until leaving.

BIKERS BEWARE north of the bridge about 2 blocks before the stop light by Ron’s auto and Lamperts lumber speed is 30 mph on a 4 lane hwy. easy to get going 40 or more . same cop as by the bowling alley uses laser . this guy also sits by the crandberry products parking lot on the north side from the bowling alley going west on 70.

State Highway US Hwy 45 near Illinois Street
The city of Eagle River has placed a 25 mph limit on a 4-lane divided highway in Eagle River WI, north of hwy 70. They placed this speed limit illegally by not following federal law in relation to doing a traffic engineering survey to determine the correct speed for this federally maintained hwy. The officer that likes to issue citations in this place is a He stops you for hopes of getting a DWI arrest, and if you are not intoxicated he will issue a speeding ticket instead with falsified particulars. there are several items that cause radar interference in this spot and they have never checked for a correct radar reading in this spot. So be careful, the speed signs are obstructed by business signs, and there is no sign warning of reduced speed limits. And forget about a fair court trial, with the current judge in that city, he would believe a blind officer that he saw you speeding even if you proved you were not even in the country.
The speed limit signs are illegally posted according to federal law under part 23 CFR in the Manual on Uniform Traffic control Devices (MUTCD)which states the posted limit is invented and fictitious due to no scientific basis of determing that posted limit.
