Fall River, Wisconsin Speed Traps

Coming off Highway 16 into Fall River from Columbus, cops like to sit in the new firestation’s driveway, behind the pine trees. They watch you speed which goes from residential speeds (around 45 mph) to a 25 mph zone that is strongley enforced. You have to look very closely to see the cop car in the driveway, and the 25 mph sign is easily overlooked.

Pulled over for going 62 in 55. NOT ticketed for speeding, but ticketed for past due plates. Was over a mile past when they came flying up on our bumper. All people out there , PLEASE make sure all of your cars info is up to date. Do not leave it up to the DMV to send your notice in the mail to let you know your plates are due for renewal.Also be extra careful when traveling on highway 16 between Fall River and Columbus as these small town guys have nothing beter to do than give out traffic tickets.

Fall River cops sit at 3-4 different spots including just outside of Columbus on Duborg RD. Also they sit at 4 different location to enter Fall River, Johnson RD, McCrae RD, inbetween Mcrae RD and Highway D just off the road in a farmer driveway and Poser RD. These cops are mostly rookies but are led by a renegade chief that think he owns the village. They will harrass you and try every tactic to make you do something that they can charge you with another ticket of even arrest you. Be very cautious when driving through this part of highway 16.
