Madison, Wisconsin Speed Traps
Packers Ave near the PDQ and 6th St.
MANY MANY cops out there ticketing people. It’s 35 and everyone goes much faster. They are right there where the road curves so it’s nearly impossible to see them. There must have been at least 6 cars stopping people. Oh, and by the way, the cop that pulled along side me and yelled at me that I wouldn’t let him into traffic was a complete crybaby. If you are reading this, you are the reason everyone hates the police. He yelled at me like I am a child and sped off before I could even say anything. Big crybaby.
Olin Avenue, between John Nolen and Park Sts
Heading East there is a squad car with a laser in the parking lot across from the Bar Next Door, and multiple chase cars parked along the road.
Heading West there is a squad car with a laser parked right over the bridge, blocking the road that heads over to Lakeside. Multiple chase cars. I’ve been pulled over twice – once they ticketed me and once they had me and another car but only hit the other car with the laser- so plausible deniability – and of course NEVER admit you broke the law!!
Highways 90/94 and 13
I have driven these road my whole life and never seen so many State cops out with radar as I did last week (Feb 2011). All the way to Madison from Tomah and then from Madison to Stevens Point. They were everywhere. What is going on?
Fish Hatchery Road (Traceway)
The usually unmarked cars sit in the Foremost Farms parking lot on the east side of the street. They are there most mornings.
Fish Hatchery Road, just below Wingra
Fish Hatchery has a fairly low speed limit there (30MPH, I think), despite heavy four-lane traffic inbound and outbound from downtown. The police frequently set up at Wright School, in order to take advantage of this.
