Muskego cops trap right on the New Berlin border of Muskego on Janesville Rd. and follow speeders into the 1 mile stretch of New Berlin connecting to Hales Corners. 90% of stops are people going east on Janesville, and are stopped in New Berlin! Most communities in Wisconsin allow 9 miles over the speed limit without a penalty IF you take it to Court!

Greenfield Ave. between 124th St. and Springdale Rd.

This section of Greenfield Ave. is 40 to 45 mph. They love to sit at the cemetery entrance and drive up and down, always after dark with moving radar. They average 2 a day on this section. Most folks are going 50-55 in a 40, and going more west of Calhoun Rd. They will nail you on this section of Greenfield. Be aware Brookfield PD also patrols this area. At times you will see both New Berlin and Brookfield cars both working radar or lidar.

Beloit Rd. between Calhoun and National

A cop parks in the VFW parking lot and can tag speed as early as the first tree line heading west. The speed limit is 35 but people often do 40-50 because it is a low traffic area. He typically hides behind the military tank and is usually there late evening.

National Avenue near 124th Street

NBPD uses the area from 124th Street to 156th Street on National Avenue as a primary enforcement area. They have a speed grant to enforce this area. Speed limit is 35mph and many people drive 45-50mph. There are several large retail businesses along this street out to 154th street. PD normally sit at the bottom of the hill at 130th street, on the curve at 132nd, and the old flower shop parking lot at Glen Park Rd (about 145th). They seem to rotate thru these areas depending on where the last traffic stop was. After dark, they inevitably will be in one of these locations.

Calhoun Road near Victor Road

New Berlin, WisconsinMay 08, 20080 Comments

This trap area allows for long distance Lidar use. Almost a quarter mile open area, used by dark blue PD vehicles make it very difficult to spot the trap before you are in range. PD sit at the end of Victor Rd and have almost a clear shot all the way to Coffee Road. Speed limit is 40mph but most people will do 50+ mph. Another thing to watch for is deer. Huge deer population along the same stretch. Multiple accidents in this area.
